My historical novel Sovereign Oak is now available in hardcover, paperback, and e-book formats.
Sovereign Oak tells the story of 3 historical events that happened near Asheville, North Carolina between the late 1700s and the late 1880s, and a modern-day fictional tale about a couple who retire to Asheville expecting to live a quiet and tranquil live ... until their past cashes up with them.
The French Broad River and the Swannanoa River play prominent roles in the history of Western North Carolina and are featured prominently in Sovereign Oak. On September 27th, Hurricane Helene hit Western North Carolina, and the French Broad and Swannanoa rivers turned deadly and destructive. Half of the proceeds from Sovereign Oak are going to support hurricane relief efforts in Western North Carolina.
